Requirements

Qualifications:

1.     Education: Current undergraduate or graduate student, or recent graduate, in fields such as Law, Political Science, Public Policy, Environmental Studies, or related areas.

2.     Skills:

o   Strong written and verbal communication skills.

o   Excellent research and analytical abilities.

o   Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

o   Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Google Workspace.

o   Familiarity with social media platforms and digital advocacy tools.

o   Basic graphic design or video editing skills are a plus (but not required).

3.     Personal Attributes:

o   Passion for social justice and the organization’s mission.

o   Detail-oriented, self-motivated, and proactive.

o   Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks

4.     Experience:

o   Prior experience in advocacy, community organizing, or campaigns is a plus, but not required.

o   Knowledge of current socio-legal issues is a bonus.

Responsibilities

1. Research: Conduct in-depth research on current policy issues, legislation, and advocacy strategies relevant to our work.
2. Content Creation: Help produce and draft advocacy materials, including policy briefs, social media content, press releases, newsletters, and blog posts.
3. Campaign Support: Assist in planning and executing advocacy campaigns (both digital and in-person), including outreach to supporters, organizing events, and coordinating volunteers.
4. Outreach and Communications: Engage with stakeholders to gather information and build relationships.
5. Event Assistance: Help organize events such as rallies, webinars, or lobbying days, and provide logistical support.
